FEARLESS EXPLORERS WANTED

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

The history books are filled with explorers. When we learned about the vast open mysteries that awaited the journeys of Vasco de Gama, Ibn Battuta, or Sir Francis Drake, it often came with some sense that all that was within reach has now been explored.

Many of us yearned in our hearts for those same fantastical dreams of reaching untouched lands, that myriad historic figures achieved in our lessons. These adventures were defined as the pinnacle of a life well lived, while we ourselves were exposed to these stories seated in clinical cubes of learning whose purpose was to stamp us out rather than set us free.

From what we were taught, I never dreamed there would truly be so much left to discover.

There is.

We now have millions of jobs available for wilderness explorers willing to set off on a trek into what is real in data, in value, in currency, in making sense of what we are becoming, and in our very selves. Science is another entire realm. Inner and Outer Space remain nearly untouched as well.

We have so many technologies to integrate now, with so many more being created daily, that visionaries and new explorers are in short supply.

Step up to the edge of the unknown and scan the horizon for what we are about to become, and step forward to lead something scary, difficult, and important. Help the world make sense of what is real in this chaos. We need you so very much. Pioneers and pathfinders are wanted more than ever.

How do we each reach our long hallway filled with mysterious doorways, each clearly untouched, covered in cobwebs and the dust of the ages? We must venture forward into the misty darkness, often alone. We must be willing to fail, to reset, and to start again. We must be willing to take responsibility for our mistakes and also look at our successes in continual hyperopia. Explorers toss accolades aside after a brief glance, intent instead on the brilliance and the darkness always awaiting on the far horizon.

Leaving trails to follow is so very important as we use our power to unite disparate solutions. Explorers, please record your wanderings as it will be those that follow who will decide how to populate what has been uncovered. They will succeed and fail anew to build what is useful as your explorers' early "line of sight" discoveries are illuminated and analyzed. Wilderness becomes familiar, and then the next explorations may begin.

CRYPTIC AND INTENTIONALLY LOST

I love to wilderness camp, alone. To do this safely, I acquire topo maps. I am old school so I am not dependent on batteries or the grid. I check in at the nearest ranger station to where I will park, and tell them my plans, approximately where I am heading, and how many days I will be. I then set off overland. No trails when possible, into the High Sierras. The goal is to see no humans for several days in a row. I am always well prepared.

During these treks (summer and winter), one of my goals is to stand in places where no person has ever stood. Often it involves tackling very steep climbs for no reason other than that. I ask myself, "why would anyone have an impetus to go there?" The more the answer cannot be logically discerned, the more I want to stand in that remote spot. It always feels like I am drawing closest to those explorers out there who I so deeply admire.

Some of these wanderings are random, leaving no trail or even a reason to follow. Some spikes into the unknown are carefully planned, with clues left on the trail to follow and advise others that something worthy has been marked.

As the very definition of the Cryptic currency landscape being crossed today globally is that it is bathed in complexity, and yet is bursting with valuable innovation, leaving masterfully concealed hints to follow and eventually participate are as necessary as the choices we make when placing new footprints for all of mankind, on a tiny speck of ground never-before tread upon.

THE NEW UNIVERSAL ATLAS

How we place these markers may well change the world and the way we live. Lewis and Clark had far less responsibility in their daring adventures.

You are the real explorer. @Steemit was another untouched doorway just a few years ago. Now for many, it is a potential gateway to the dreams of Heinlein, Spinrad, and Niven

We are the keepers of what will be reality for the next millennium.

Let's do it right, and truly for the good of all. It is our time to explore, and with this effort, may we deliver to humanity all the goodness that exists in the ether. A new universal Atlas of discovery is being published and expanded every year. We do not see it as we are far out in the wilderness mapping new trails, but it remains for the future to become.

This is the greatest time in all history. May you each find brilliant light as you move ahead, bravely heedless of the dark.
