Believing in Prayers

Good evening friends!

Let me tell you about the photo I took 2 years ago... My dad and I went together to Manila to have his physical exam in St. Luke's clinic. A day before his exam date, that was around April 2016, we decided to stroll around the hotel area we stayed in. It was nearby the clinic but because it was my first time to be there, my dad and I along with his cousin decided to familiarize the area and route going to the clinic.

It was one hot summer day, very hot actually. I never thought I would drain that quickly however, we just arrived in Manila 2 days before my dad's exam and the following day, we went to find a budget friendly hotel and spend the rest of the day strolling. Yes it was tiring under the scorching heat but productive.

Anyway, few days before our flight I was kinda worried that my dad is not going to pass the exam smoothly. We weren't able to stop him from smoking but only just a week prior to his exam that he was able to abstain. I was always praying he is going to pass the test so he wouldn't be going back and forth the clinic with all this x-ray and sputom test.

A miracle indeed, the prayers and wish in my first time visit to Ermita Shrine was truly a blessing. My dad is a senior citizen and the test went smoothly. We were lucky that he was in the top 10 that was called first to have the test regardless of being prioritized for his age. He was very healthy and in good condition despite the travel and sleepless night issues.

We didn't need to come home to Cebu (due to laboratory result issues) and wait for another schedule instead, we stayed or waited only for a few days for his interview date in the embassy because his results were fine.

It was another answered prayer for me. I really can't count actually how many times they were answered "yes." I just had faith that what I am asking to have will be given to me as long as it is with positivity and good intentions. My dad and I were truly blessed on that trip, it was safe and very much fulfilled.
