The simple technique on how to gain weight is just to increase your calorie intake daily compared to the energy you burn from any physical activity. Begin by using a calorie calculator to check the amount of calories you have consumed in a day and must consume to obtain an increase in your weight. Select foods that are high in calories aside from eating more foods than what you actually consumed. Pick foods that are nutritious with greater amount of calories instead of high calorie junk foods.
Fruits, vegetables and whole grains are foods that contain high calories yet they provide nutritional value. Also include nuts, seeds, olives, legumes, avocados, meats, seafood, poultry, dairy products, herbs and spices are among those foods that are healthy that can also help individuals who would like to gain some weight especially the skinny ones. You should have a balance meal with protein, carbohydrates and fat which are the necessary foods on how to gain weight.
Excellent sources of protein are meat, fish, poultry, legumes and vegetables while carbohydrate rich foods are rice, pasta, sweet corn and potatoes. In relation to this, butter, olive oil, cheese or sauces can add calories in your food. Here are some things that you need to consider to begin with:
Drink healthy beverages such as milk, natural fruit or vegetable juices.
Consume large servings of starchy vegetables such as potatoes or sweet corn.
Spread some peanut butter in your whole grain sandwich in your breakfast.
Increase the amount of cheese in your omelet the next time you cook it.
Use a honey filling for your chopped nuts that was converted into yogurt.
