Why it is important to fight your fears

Fear is the defense response of the body. It is not normal when person is afraid of nothing. Fear protects people from getting into many troubles. Humanity would go extinct if people did not feel any fear at all. People have very different fears - some are afraid of insects, some people are afraid of water or heights. But there are fears that really can spoil the life of a person. For example, a man can be too shy. He can feel fear to approach a girl and to get aquainted with her. Some people are not so confident about themselves that their fears do not let them find a better job. And they tolerate a hated boss or a cheating husband/wife for years. They find different reasons to justify such their behaviour- little children, unemployment in the country, all men/women are the same and so on. But actually, there is a very different reason why people prefer not to do anything. It is a fear. It is a fear to change something in their life.

Psychologists advise people to imagine their life if they change nothing in it now, in 20 years. Is it how you dreamt to live your life? Do you like what you see? I am sure you do not. But you are a very happy person. Everything is in your hands now and you can change everything. Do not lose your chance. Remember that time can not be returned, our life is too short and in 20 years you will feel sorry about lost opportunities. But you will not be able to change something so use a chance you are having now. Change your life for the better!

Marianne Williamson has a great quote on fear.

"As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Nice work here. Thank you.

double-quick :)

Nice post! Thanks for sharing. One of my favourite effects of facing up to my fears has been discovering what are irrational fears and what are simply just preferences one way or another. The feeling of not doing something cause you are just seriously not interested, but not fearing it at all, is super liberating.

Great work
