One of my beloved friends is a justice seeker and works as a property manager.
Side note: If you were a successful resident assistant in college, then you should consider becoming a property manager.
If you can survive college nonsense then you will get a kick out of adults. The story she tells us, are WONDERFUL and crazy. To us and her too after the situation passes, we all have a grand laugh about it. So, justice-seeking often loses in customer-facing roles. Thick skin is definitely necessary.
My friend is hilarious and so creative in responding to her residence. She deals with people all day every day. There are some renters she never sees or learns their name. These are few and far in between. If you rent, you should be this person. If you are on a first name basis with your property manager, you might need them too much.
So, what if I am?
The customer is always right, right?
Well, if you are then TRUST me when I tell you she or he has most likely told her closest friends all about your tomfoolery. Depending on the day, her employees will actually act out more than the residence. I think the foolishness is contagious. Do you have any fun stories about a place you rented from? Maybe a story about a friend?
All is safe on the blockchain, so please share.
Unfortunately, she will not let me share too much since she does want to keep her job. However, I have noticed that often time she will take the time to resolve issues her superiors would rather her not because considering the time and lawyer fees, it just isn't worth it. As a justice seeker, to her, it is hundred percent worth it. I wonder if this is why people ultimately go into business for themselves then eventually fall into the same habits of large corporations. Payout which everyone is the cheaper option mindset.
Share your thoughts with me.
What about you? Have you worked in customer service before and been beyond frustrated with people and constantly overrules by the company policy that people abuse? I'm curious, share your story with me. Do you think the customer is always right?
First of all... I love the sushi picture!!! Yummy :)
As you know, I used to manage a Health Food Store and some ‘customers’ can easily drive you insane!!!! But at the end of the day, the nicer ones are majority :) Saudade de você Amiga!

I don’t mix well in customer service ordinated jobs. I just see the scumbags will there shitface grin walking up to me thinking they are going walk away with free stuff. Ya, NOPE. I had a few people in college try to cheat off me I every single time noticed them lock laser eyes onto my from access the classroom. By the time they got over to me to “make chitchat” so they could copy my work I changed my answers. For instance in math class I would just add or remove “-“and in accounting I would add in an extra digit. Then they get their homework back with a giant FAT red 0 and they never made eye content with me again. They know I know they are a scumbag.
As such I just don’t fit in well to the “customers are already right.” No, they are more often times than not morons. The only time they are right” is if the company expects them to spend X amount of their lifetime (such as Walmart use to value each customers at $1 million.) So they let people almost get away with murder out of fear of “losing” that future money. Expect those people are not going anywhere. If they can’t con another store out of their goods they will be coming back to whoever is the cheapest. So really they just need to be told “no” and so be it. But with that much lifetime sales at stake most places don’t go thought with it. Not to mention as you have started things like lawyer fees more times than not don’t make things worthwhile.
Seems like your justice seeker friend is going struggle a little bit. They must have a decent supervisors that at least understands to a point. It can often be hard to let certain actions go while you know they are just scamming.

I didn’t know that about Wal-Mart. Can’t say, I’m surprised either. In reference to my friend, she thrives in her position and the word struggle isn’t associated with her.
