Death Penalty in the Philippines

in life •  8 years ago

"After Marcos was deposed in 1986, the newly drafted 1987 Constitution prohibited the death penalty but allowed the Congress to reinstate it "hereafter" for "heinous crimes"; making the Philippines the first Asian country to abolish capital punishment."

It's been decades past after death penalty was implemented but why do Filipino allow this kind of punishment to be implemented again in the country. Human Rights is in the loud voice for some Filipino now because of high increase of death rate for being accused of many things especially in terms of 'drug raid" , then another way of killing will be publish.

May Filipino shout out more for Human Rights.
