Alcohol is difficult to find a positive outlet beyond its sometimes good to just chill out. But its over priced, addictive and can be destructive. In all honesty if you can get away from it and find something more positive to do with your time then go for it. I know myself when I quit drinking in 2007 I lost weight significantly within the first couple of months. As well as found I put my energy into fitness instead. Much more positive, healthier and happier.
