To all Steemians: I hope you leave 2017 with positive thoughts for the coming year. Let go of anything that has been dragging your mind down - now is the time to move forwards. With so many others in a positive frame of mind for the new year, the mass of determination and positive energy being put out there over this time is a good vibe to jump onto. Make the most of it.....
I am sure I am not alone when I find myself thinking over the happenings and lessons of the last year as the new one approaches?
The older I become, the faster each year passes and I know that for others it's the same. Life really is quite short.
It may be cliche to have 'new year's resolutions', but what better time is there to make a fresh start on any areas of your life you wish to take a firmer control of?
I know I have to step-up a few areas of my life now. I have only 5 months left before I will have two newborn babies to look after. I am not going to have a huge amount of help so my plan is to get prepared now. This is my main focus for 2018 - parenting.
I have absolutely no intention of joining local mother and baby groups. Please don't get me wrong, I am all for community spirit and I understand and agree with the importance of these groups, but they are just not for me. I always feel like a spare part. I work much better alone, or on internet forums or with people I already know and trust.
I need to learn tips now on how to make life easier with twins. I need to educate myself with ways to ensure my eldest child does not feel pushed out or neglected in any way and I need to be organised! My bills and finances need to be running themselves so this week my main focus will be getting all my banking in order. (I used to be so organised with this type of thing - Bipolar got the better of me for a while, but I'm back now!)
I need more of a routine firmly in place so that there is as much structure as possible that remains when the babies arrive as we all know it is going to be turmoil!
I am absolutely petrified of what is coming, but I am also really excited too. Mixed emotions about everything and anything just now!
2018 is going to be a crazy year for crypto currencies too. Nobody could have predicted what we have just witnessed this year, Bitcoin alone has stormed ahead and so many others are rapidly growing. It's just going to get better and better.....
And then there is the continued hope that Justice is being done where it should be done in the world. Let's see some more good news this coming year!
