Human emotions are innate processes we don't pay enough attention to. We have continually emphasised their direct health impact for years. Positive emotions can improve our health just as negative ones might harm it.

Numerous studies suggest that our immune and central neurological systems connect directly. This implies that emotions and the body are interrelated.

“A clear mind, good heart, and warm feelings are most important. If the mind is not focused on pleasant, elevated thoughts, contentment is impossible.”

Dalai Lama

In the information and publications we receive, we emphasise negative emotions' effects. We are cautioned of the bad effects of certain emotions on our health and advised to avoid unpleasant emotions like fear, rage, etc. Blocking these emotions can cause health issues, which is not well acknowledged.

Some health specialists have changed their view of emotions. Thus, they approached positively. They emphasised happy feelings above negative ones.

In his book Emotions that Heal, doctor and head of Argentina's Diego Alcorta National Hospital Arturo Agüero claims that happy emotions can displace bad sensations that jeopardise our health.

After years of research, American doctor B. Fredrikson, winner of the "Highest Templeton Prize in Positive Psychology," identified the powerful health benefits of good emotions.

“Laughter is super-calming and a great meditation. Beautiful laughter gives you wings to fly. Life offers many chances to chuckle. You just need sensitivity.”

-Osho-

Kentucky University studied longevity. Results showed a relationship between good feelings and longevity. There is evidence linking good emotions to health and life expectancy after decades of research. Research shows that pleasant emotions lower blood pressure and boost the immune system.

Some pleasant emotions and feelings...
Joy and distraction...
Joy may be the fastest-moving emotion. In a comfortable environment, it happens instantly. It appears in “perfect” moments when we feel everything is wonderful and we are where we should be.

Laughter and leisure are distractions, which bring pleasure. Therefore, distraction is a great natural relaxant.

“If we exaggerate our joys as we do our sorrows, our problems would fade”

Anatole France

Understanding this emotion broadly is essential. Many thanks to life, nature, and our companions. Feeling fulfilled with good health, home, etc.

Thanks brings joy too. It means someone looks out for us or wishes us well. Who doesn't feel comforted?

"Gratitude blooms in the soul."

-Beecher-

Peace is calmer, longer, and subtler than joy. Being present and aware of our surroundings benefits us. Serenity helps us view the forest rather than just the tree in front of a problem, which raises the chances of solving it.

Interest drives exploration and investigation. Interest drives us to study and improve.

In love, our bodies release more oxytocin and progesterone. Immediate benefits include increased well-being and reduced stress. Thus, we live healthier and better.
