Back to School...For A Boss Mom

in life •  6 years ago  (edited)

Play dates at the park, splash pad mania, sandcastles at the beach, camping with no to-do lists (my favourite!), organizing a conference, leading junior engineering and some story time during a week of day camp, finishing last edits on my second book—this is just a little sneak peek into what my summer was like. And it was hot! I'm thankful we were able to snag a couple of AC units before the major heat wave arrived and before they were all sold out!

I hope your summer was just as exhilarating and refreshing as mine was (though I hope you got to relax a little more than I did).

Following the Example of My Kids

Now my kids are back in the swing of school, and I see that I must follow suit. So I'll be back to posting more regularly, specifically releasing chapters of Redeemed From the Ashes every Friday once again (five more to go!). I'm also going to get back to my course on copywriting. Most importantly, this is the month I need to get everything ready for my second book's release date on Oct. 5. Throughout this month, I'll be teasing bits of Wisps of Gold. And one of these upcoming Saturdays, I'll be filming its book trailer!

A Gift For You

Once I'm done releasing my first novel's chapters here, I'll release the chapters to its sequel Ghost of My Heart, which came out mid-July.

Synopsis: Eleven years have passed since the explosion shattered Evelyn's home city of Halifax. Evelyn dedicates her time to being a loving wife and mother and to volunteering in the poor district. A chance encounter leads to the possibility of second chances. As Evelyn struggles through her indecisions, a personal revelation will forever change her fate and the fates of those she loves most.

You have a minor misspelling in the following sentence:

), organizing a conference, leading junior engineering and some story time during a week of day camp, finishing last edits on my second book—this is just a little sneak peak into what my summer was like.
It should be sneak peek instead of sneak peak.
