Oh man, don't get me started on this one LOL. Back in 2014, we traveled from Washington DC to Moscow with United Airlines. My husband and I, and our boys who back then were 4 an 1 years old. When buying the tickets, I chose just the right seats for us. However , when checking in for the flight at the airport, we found out that they had changed our seats around and now all of us were assigned different seats rows away from each other. Including our 4-year-old! I politely inquired how a small child was supposed to be sitting on his own on an 11-hour flight. Heard a shit storm of rubbish (something about overbooking) in return. Then all I remember is a blur - my husband and I lost it (him with his English wittiness and me with my Russian rudeness that appears to surface on very rare occasions). All I know is when we finally got to sit together (and that was because WE had to ask people on the plane to switch with us), our 4-year-old looked at us with his big innocent eyes and said, "Mom, Dad, I guess it's okay to yell at people sometimes?". I guess!! Go figure :).

that sounds like an absolutely horrible experience, I just can't believe they have the audacity to do that.. then again it's United Airlines and well, we all know about them now if we didn't before.

Right? I guess I should be thankful they didn't beat us up!
