First thing you have to get used to living the life of a Coach are the early starts! My alarm goes off at 4.40am and the day begins with coaching a couple of clients. The dedicated early morning gym goers are such a pleasure to coach, it makes it so much easier getting out of bed knowing there's someone waiting for me to guide them towards their goals and give them the extra push they need :)
Time for breakfast! This is by far my favourite meal of day and a good breakfast will set you up for a long day. Here's my porridge made with Oats, Teff, Chia Seeds then topped with some Honey and Blueberries. An hour later I will have a couple of eggs and some bacon.
As I'm also a Mum, this is when it's time to walk the kids to school. We always walk or ride as I'm teaching them how to maintain a healthy lifestyle and how important it is to get outside as much as possible.
Time to coach the mid-morning team training class...
These classes are based on our X-Element45 Training Method, all classes are varied with a different focus depending on the day of the week. Ranges from HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) to Strength to Technique & Mobility. As a coach, I am there to guide the members, provide them with encouragement, give them direction, focus on and correct technique, and generally motivate them to reach their goals with a bit of fun along the way :)
Every Sunday @sebastianjago and I prep our meals for the week, this makes life so much easier as we have nutritious, delicious meals ready for us throughout the day. After the mid morning class we usually have a salad then lunch and afternoon snacks are chicken or pork and steamed veggies with some quinoa...YUM!
Midday is my turn to train! I have created a Split Hypertrophy Program that I follow over 4 days of the week, I also participate in our HIIT classes twice a week and mix up my week with an outdoor hill climb or bike ride when I can.
And for fun I do this...
The afternoon is spent doing some admin and writing programs for my clients or getting a nap if I haven't slept well ;) Then it's school pick up time!
My kids have a lot of out of school activities including Taekwondo, Ballet, Tap, Swimming, Gymnastics, Ukelele Project, Soccer, Hockey and KidFit (at my gym) so there is a fair bit of running around dropping kids here and there but this is something they love and I definitely encourage as it's expending their horizons and giving them a taste of new things and teaching them about commitments and schedules.
Then back to the gym to coach some more clients and team training classes...
By the end of the day I'm exhausted but satisfied knowing that I have helped so many people, given them a place to come and feel safe, encouraged and comfortable to let their walls down and find their inner athlete! Being a coach is one of the best jobs in the world!

My goodness! You are a very impressive person. I think I'd hurt myself doing flips on those rings. lol Those meals look really good. I make a lot of home made TV dinners to freeze that are healthy once a month so we have quick meals. You look like an awesome mom with really healthy kids. Looks like a great place to ride bikes.
