Edward W. Bok, born in Den Helder, Netherlands, on October 9, 1863, came
to the U.S.A. at the age of six. Bok’s grandmother told him to “make you the
world a bit better or more beautiful because you have lived in it.". So, in
February 1, 1929 He opened the Tower and the gardens.

The "singing tower" is 205 feet tall and houses the grand 60-bell carillon, 60
bells, totaling 62 tons and spanning 6 octaves. imported all the way from
England. The Singing Tower carillon concerts are at 1 & 3 p.m. daily with
short selections played on the hour and half-hour.

If you find yourself between Tampa and Orlando Florida, be sure not to miss
this unique experience. It is an amazing one to be had.

Wow, did not know this was here and I live realtively close to it! Thanks for sharing!

It's a hidden gem. I don't understand why it is not better publicized. Maybe they like the leisurely pace. It's beautiful and you can just go have a picnic in the middle of the garden, listen to the tower, but watch out for the squirrels. It's funny at first. They will climb right up your leg in search of food. Also, it's Florida, so you know, fire ants.

The swans and the coy pond is very relaxing.

Sounds awesome! ...except the part about the squirrels!! LOL

WOW, very beatiful and glad such thing exists !! Will follow you for sure :)

Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoy.
