5 Bullet Friday #3

in life •  8 years ago  (edited)

Hi All!

Here is your weekly dose of “5-Bullet Friday,” a list of what I’m enjoying or pondering. I've been reading Tim Ferriss's 5 Bullet Friday for a long time and I figured that I should get into a habit of making my own. This is week 3.

Music I’m listening to —

Hilarious, unexpected combo.

Purchase I’m enjoying —
Thai Kitchen organic coconut milk
I use it as coffee/tea creamer in a way that's similar to Bulletproof Coffee.
My favorite recipe is green tea + coconut milk + sea salt + stevia

What I’m reading —
Black Swan by Nassim Taleb
I've finished Fooled by Randomness a while back and greatly enjoy fooling Taleb on Facebook and Twitter. It's quite entertaining to watch him destroy pseudointellectuals.

Podcast I'm listening to —
Not Guilty No Way
In particular, the episodes with Mike Cernovich and Scott Adams.
Key concept from Scott Adams: Boss diversification. When you are a cartoonist, you have hundreds of "bosses" who publish your works. You don't have to please every one of them, so you are more free and antifragile.
Mike Cernovich mostly talked about the importance of free speech, which is also the mission of platforms like Steemit.

Quote I’m pondering —
"The road to hell is paved with good intentions."
This can apply to the original concept of the EU before it gained a huge authoritarian government. It can also apply to SJWs, who had good intentions for trying to prevent people from suffering pains, but end up actually causing more pain through censorship and spreading of misinformation.

Please let me know your requests and suggestions in the comments below. Which bullet above is your favorite? What do you want more or less of?

Thanks for reading! Have a wonderful weekend,

Limitless
