Long Weekend to Penang trip - First time with Cool weather

in life •  6 years ago

I have been to Penang many times before, but this is the first time going with my dearest. Most of the time I went to Penang the weather was scorching hot, but not this time.

We left about 7am early in the morning to avoid jam. My boyfriend even suggested to leave at 4 or 5am but we made it 7am. It took 4 hours for us to reach Ayer Itam which is pretty quick for me. Last time I went Penang it took 6 hours with two stops. We only stopped once this time around Taiping's rest station. Along the journey there are two accidents that caused about 10 minute of slow traffic, it wasn't even raining.

After reaching Penang we went to a friend's of his apartment for a rest. We managed to capture this view from the top of his apartment, it was really windy and gloomy. Although it was drizzling, the weather is really nice for me. Luckily we reached the next day after because the day before it was raining heavily and caused a massive flood at Bayan Lepas, the road we passed by after crossing the Penang Bridge 2.

Basically this from this picture you can already see 75% of Penang. I know Penang is just an island but this picture made me think that Penang is smaller than I thought. Let the food journey and exploration begin!
