I had the pleasure to dance with Maike, a very talented and passionate choreographer from Hamburg. She is well known in the voguing and dancehall scene. Maike is also a part of Chefboss - a Dancehall group from Hamburg, consisting of the singer Alice Martin and dancers.
Maike invited me to her dance workshop the day before the video shoot - it took place in a well known dance studio in Hamburg hidden between very large buildings. I was really excited to attend my very first workshop, as I know it is much more different than normal dance classes. As soon as I stepped into the dance studio, I immediately felt the energy and the powerful vibe. Since the dance studio wasn´t really big, you can surely imagine how hot it got after a few minutes only. Even though I usually don´t dance dancehall-afro, I had a lot of fun dancing this routine. I have already taken some dancehall classes before, but it was on a completely different level dancing in a workshop with one of the best dancehall dancers from Hamburg.
