Yup, we got a few bottle baby nubian bucklings the other day!
We had an opportunity to make a trade the other day, and we just had to take advantage of it. Since we have a goat producing milk right now (Daisy) it is an excellent time to embark in an endeavor like this. Rather than mixing milk replacer together, we can provide these little ones with some real goat milk!
If you saw our last post then you already know that we got some collars, leashes and bottles ready! When we asked other steemians if they had any guesses why we picked up such things, @len.george had the best guess with, "two collars, two leashes = two kid goats, three bottles = one for a spare." Nice guess! Also, @tedgoodwin, @uglysweater, & @crowbarmama had the right idea. Here are some photos of Pinkie-Pepper feeding them this morning! Enjoy!

See I figured the bottles would be for some bottle babies but had hoped the kids would also be getting a few other critters that would also be good for a homestead..

How Cool! I think that's really awesome how do you involve the kids with feeding and taking care of animals! Goats are really fun animals, and I think all kids should have a chance to play with one! I had a few goats growing up and that was some of the best times of my life! I think it's really cool how you are so devoted to your family, and trying to guarantee a stable future for them!
