Often, we believe that our problems are the result of conditions outside ourselves, and try to change those conditions. However, change rarely works because our thoughts haven't aligned with reality. We perceive these thoughts as "you" and we are clinging onto them to form a chain of thoughts. The fact that 'you' is not attached to our thoughts and its content does not give us any power over them. This is a profound understanding that can lead to an awe-inspiring level of understanding.
You can change your inner world
There are many ways to improve your mental health and wellbeing. One of the most powerful methods is to change the way you think. Think of your inner world as a reflection of the real world. When your inner world is full of conflict, fear, or dissatisfaction, you will likely manifest this in the outside world. However, it's important to remember that not all issues in your inner world will manifest in the same way. For example, if you lack self-respect, it will probably manifest in the form of relationships with people who do not respect you.
