"Everything": What Is it?
A video game that allows players to become anything, and everything in our interconnected universe. Its called appropriately "everything".
This is created by an artist, David O'Reilly.
He describes the game:
In everything the player can be anything if you see a tree, you can become it, if u see a rock u can be that or an atom of nitrogen or galaxy.
It's bringing you back to a version of earth, and its showing hopefully, earth to be the most interesting planet and out of all of earth, the creatures are most interesting things and we're the most interesting creatures that could exist and at the same time you're completely insignificant or as significant as everything else in the world.
This game everything has a narrator: alan watts, a famous philosopher who died in 1973 talks to players at various points in the game.
This game basically applies alan watts philosophy.
The Description
In this game, you move anywhere in this universe by being anything. You can become any living or nonliving creature at any point of the game. then you have to search out other things.
You can become an ant or just a pebble or an oak tree.
So do you want to be a pollen or virus? in this case, I want to be a cockroach eating a pizza. You can also change your size, team up with other things. and yes, you can sing and dance. It's so lovely.
You move to a meaningless place full of random things like you as a moving car in a lost city attacked by everything around you, even the houses and street lamps. In every minute or two, you get a message from your surrounding things, which is a kind of weird but interesting.
I enjoy making things large and putting them in different places as I go. So more things you find, the more things you can change into.
So finally as I play this game I feel how significant I am, how tiny I am in this universe rather fighting, shooting and killing in other games. I see everything around being in the shoe of other creatures. so I think it is a fantastic little game, and I really recommend it.
