Good Landscaping Ideas for a Family Home

in life •  7 years ago

Hello Friends,

Here I am Lucia again trying to find a good and virtuous topic to inscribe and share at the same time to learn about.

So the topic for today is "Landscaping Ideas".

Each house should be planned so that it is free of maintenance as much as possible. Not many have time or interest in gardening, but the pleasant surroundings make any home a comfortable home. Landscaping is, therefore, essential to succeed, but not necessarily to cost a fortune. Simple ideas and working with the shape of the earth is the key. If one has an imaginative mind, there are easy-to-follow tips.

One of the first is what you want the garden to do for you. Are you interested in growing vegetables, fruits, berries, etc., or simply want a large lawn for games, if you have children?

Where my house is, there is a beautiful park less than five minutes away on foot. That eliminated the need for grass areas, so instead, I covered the front with a four-inch layer of large pine chips placed over several layers of newspapers. Paper breaks down in time and does not prevent moisture from penetrating the ground.

Before moving to this house, my job was as a landscape designer and many of my plans are in operation in Sydney and now in Canberra. The main objective with them is to have a beautiful perspective and many trees so that birds and other wild animals are attracted to it. That also makes water an essential element, since everyone comes to drink if there is an adequate supply.

The selection of trees should be a combination of fruits and native species. In my design, the fruit trees are confined to the back and the native eucalyptus, callistemon and brambles are in the front. They attract birds and opossums, as well as some large insects, including butterflies.

With fruit trees, maintenance is required to keep them at their best and roses always need pruning. If one does not have the patience to cultivate these plants, try the less demanding ones, such as camellias, azaleas and rhododendrons.

You just have to use your imagination to get a beautiful garden growing and over time the rewards will be amazing. The local nursery is always a great place to get advice and help with the selection of plants. Grow plants suitable for your area and especially those that are native to it and you will not go wrong.

The best landscaping advice that can be given is to plan the minimum maintenance and make sure to work according to the shape of the land. Do not remove the hills if they can be used as a bank for visual effects. Do not remove large rocks that can be a good focal point. Place the tracks in the right place and bend them to add more interest. Your work should give you pleasure and not pain and if you do it well it will be your reward.
