The fact is that in this world there are so many uncertainties that you cannot be sure of what tomorrow brings, it is important to have confidence in yourself. Having a sense of self-assurance is essential for success in all walks of life. It helps you to be at peace both as an individual and as a member of a society.
So, what is it that people think that is responsible for our confidence level? Well there are many things but one thing in particular that have a huge impact on your level of confidence is your genes. So if your parents or grandparents were not confident or had low self confidence then you are likely to end up the same way. There are other genes that determine how confident we will be in certain situations, for example your skin colour.
Your genes also determine your energy level and your motivation level. This is why exercise is such a good thing to do as it boosts your self-esteem and gives your body a boost and makes you feel great. We tend to get a negative view of exercise in our society and many people do not enjoy exercising for any reason at all. But the truth is that by doing so you will improve your health and become fitter and stronger, which is very beneficial.
Self-esteem can also be affected by the way we dress. If you are confident and you feel good about yourself then you can wear any kind of clothing you like and will feel at ease in any situation. If you do feel self-conscious about your clothes then it may be a good idea to buy some new ones that you feel better about yourself in. If you have a problem with being fashionable then try to wear clothing that makes you feel good about yourself - think about the last time you went out shopping and what you paid for your outfit.
Self-confidence can also be developed through learning and reading books. There are lots of books out there that can help you learn more about yourself and what you are capable of. You should always strive to learn something new. It never hurts to go out and have a look around your local area as this could spark an interesting conversation for you. You might even make some new friends and find out about things that you have previously kept to yourself.
The final way to gain self-confidence through self-confidence is to have plenty of people around you that you can talk to. You need to learn how to listen to other people. Not all people are going to think the same so you need to be able to pick up on the different signs. If you want to talk to someone then go up and say hello to them if they look at you look confident. If they do, then strike up a conversation and be confident in what you are saying.
