So you want to change that ugly low self confidence? The good news is, there are ways to get rid of it. Here are some ways to do just that. Stop making assumptions about other people. People make errors and they are human. They can make mistakes, even with the best intentions in the world. Make sure they know this.
Don't be afraid of getting close to people. Sometimes, people who don't know you really do mean no harm. They may not mean you harm in the physical sense, but they may mean you harm in a mental way. Be honest with them.
Give people what they need and do it without expecting anything in return. If someone says something that makes you smile or laugh, just thank them and then keep on going. It may take a little practice but give people what they want. You'll find out they won't be that bothered if you do that.
Be willing to say "no" to people. Don't always think you have to say yes to people. If they come up to you and ask you something you're not sure of, don't say yes right away. Take a moment and think about it before saying something.
Be kind. There is a difference between being kind to yourself and being kind to others. Just because you think someone else is being rude doesn't mean you should do it to them. If someone comes up to you and wants to help you, help them.
Help others if you know how. There are plenty of great places to help others. Do them a favor and share your knowledge and resources. When you do, it will show them you care. Just remember, if you think you're being a jerk right now, you can always get better. It's OK. You're not the first person to do this and it probably won't be the last. - so learn from others and move on!
