Everyone thinks of a professional! No one will admit that it is not at all. But why do some achieve so much and others only fill the scene from the scene? The answer is complex and multifaceted!
Maybe the reason is in the way of thinking of the two types of people?
Most of us are just amateurs anyway.
But what is the difference? In fact, there are a lot of differences:
- Amateurs stop when they do something. Professionals understand that the initial achievement is just the beginning
- Amateurs have a purpose. The professionals have a process!
- Amateurs think they are good at everything. Professionals are surrounded by people with different competencies.
- Amateurs view feedback as a critique of their personality. Professionals know they have weak spots and are looking for constructive criticism.
- Amateurs value the single performance - the perfect goal of a tough corner that once played a player. Professionals value the consistency. Can this player score the ball in 9 of 10 times?
- Amateurs give up on the first difficulty. They assume they have failed. Professionals see success as part of the path to mastery.
- Amateurs have no idea what to do to get better results. Professionals know!
- Amateurs focus on identifying their weaknesses and improving them. Professionals focus on their strengths and on finding people to offset their weaknesses.
- Amateurs know power is power. Pros also rely on practice!
- Amateurs focus on just being right. Professionals concentrate on achieving better results.
- Amateurs think superficially. Professionals are thinking deeply.
- Amateurs believe that their good results are due to their own glamor. Professionals understand when they are simply due to luck.
- Amateurs watch short-term. Professionals are considering long-term.
- Amateurs focus on crushing other people. Professionals are focused on making people around you better and better.
- Amateurs decide collectively so there is no one responsible if things go wrong. Professionals decide as individuals and take responsibility.
- Amateurs blame others. Professionals are behind their actions.
- Amateurs make things fast. Professionals just go far.
- Amateurs catch the first idea that came to mind. Professionals know that the first idea is not always the best.
- Amateurs think in absolute terms, pros in probability.
- Amateurs think the chance to have the best idea is great. Professionals know that the probability of this is low.
- For amateurs, reality is what they want to see. Professionals know that reality is what it really is.
- Amateurs believe disagreements are a threat. Professionals see them as an opportunity to learn.
And he thought you were a pro, did not you? Me too…
Experience is what you get when you do not get what you want.
There are other differences, but they are basically two things: fear and reality.
Amateurs believe the world should work the way they want. Experts realize that they need to work with the world as it is.
Amateurs are frightened that they will not accidentally be vulnerable and honest with themselves. Professionals feel they are capable of dealing with almost anything.
Well, with what approach do you think you will achieve better results?
