The common adage says, "Look before you leap". This adage is a very good one but there are some imperfections about it, also bringing us limitations when we are overly conscious of it. This means that there is every tendency for us to keep looking forever. We would have no other thing to do, and the reason being that the time will never be right for a leap.
In this article, the opposite approach is what would be taken. So many times, we keep looking for the perfect opportunities before we go on with a decision. Do you know what you are wasting? You are wasting valuable time. The time you spend following your own version of " look before leaping" is not recoverable. Today, my advice for you is have a blind faith and just do it. Take the leap. This is for special cases though. What are the situations in which you must take a leap irrespective?
1 Abusive Relationships. So many abusive relationships are following a particular pattern. There is every likelihood that the one who is giving you emotional, psychological or physical abuse will continue doing it. So you must not think of spending more time in a relationship that drains you of physical energy and also saps your creativity abilities.
Quite a number of people have kept hoping that one good change will take place in the relationship they are into. Everyday they are on the look out for the silver lining, a possibility that would never come to realization. And in doing that, they are risking and sacrificing too many things, including the things that could make them achieve their life's ambition.
If any relationship exist that is not allowing you fulfil your goals, what do you do? You leap out of it without looking back. That is it - what you must do.
2 Pay-denying jobs. I know some of you may be surprised by my choice of word here. The idea is however clear, a job that is not bringing in the needed salary, income or salary. Too many people can boast of having a job but they cannot boast of having enough to support themselves. Though they work around the clock, they are either being underpaid or they are being owed what is due to them. They remain in the job and their conditions of living gets worst by the day. Why would anyone keep themselves in such a work, job or business. It is true that one must have persistence and patience in life, but it is not with some things that you know will never change. Especially when you have less control over the situation (for example, you are not the boss).
People remain in some situations because they are afraid of change and are not well-equipped or skilled enough to face the new reality. If your fear is uncertainty, then get knowledge and be informed. If your fear is not being skilled enough, then you must try as much as possible to get more training. In any case, what you must not do is remain at a spot and complain, making your life and those of the people around you miserable.
Truly, one must admit that taking some leaps in life are not easy, especially when you can't see what lies beyond. The leap you take maybe the case of frying pan to fire or the case of flying away like a caged bird. Either way, you should know that you are learning or winning. So there is actually nothing to fear per se. Just take the leap and you will come to appreciate the process and the experience.
