Oh well, perhaps once we were not wise about information we shared. In my case, as a rebellious, social misfit teenager, I shared information on the internet without knowing its further consequences. Good thing was, I use pseudonym. Lately something bothers me. I often hear from colleagues that HR Manager is checking our social media.
I wonder, what if I tell them, I don't own any social media? will they believe twenty something like me doesn't own any of it (the mainstream ones)? the truth is I only have twitter which is self destruct after 30 days these days.
I think it's unnecessary to have too much social media. It's part of digital clutter. Life will be easier if you just own two or three e-mails. I actually own several e-mails because it was kind of fun to mess up with the system. But anyway, these days, even one is more than enough for me.
I am just rambling. Yesterday, I found my old e-mail containing old information. Something I needed for my own recovery process; collecting bits of memories. It revealed something far beyond my imagination. I don't even remember pieces I wrote were even mine. Though it was actually mine. The tone was different, the choice of words, the flows, I didn't feel like it was written by me (or the sober me). It has quirky characteristic and very bold. I assume it was adolescent angst.
I would love to share you those, once I am done translating it!
Yeah it is all useless, the data they collcet today is just that, a reflection of todays events. A reflection.. Not even reality. Words online are in virtual, space.
However all our data is being captured, everything. Nomatter if you have a FB, G or T account or not. The only difference is that you have a clear consious, where others actively took part in undermining the privacy of others.
Privacy is the most important right we have. And even that right is being taken away from us.

@bilarficoil, maybe some of us are tricking the system by not sharing our true self. Perhaps that's the only way we can reclaim our privacy's back.
