I couldn't agree more. I too went through most of my 20s surrounded by friends with secure jobs and money and I made some stupid choices (often taking the easy way out). But staying the course, being focused and doing it my own way has lead to many successes. When the successes do come I think it comes with a greater sense of accomplishment and fulfillment.
