Great post exyle.
The act of creation is a risk in itself. With steemit we can be rewarded for that risk and not be monetised by the likes of facebook and so on.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
