This looks like Fake News material. But it is 100% real.
The legal system (and society) of the United States sometimes has twists and unexpected twists. Such is the case of this man who has been condemned to see Bambi in prison.
This is David Berry, a poacher with apparent features of psychopath. For more than nine years the man had been hunting deer; with the sole purpose of decapitating them. Everything to keep the head as a trophy.
Berry was accompanied by his minor children and at night they found their prey. There, at the crime scene they cut the deer and left the rest of the body there to rot.
The authorities were finally able to find him and arrest him. During his trial, the Lawrence County judge, Robert George, evaluated the situation and ended up condemning Berry.
The sentence was peculiar, since the hunter will have to spend a full year in jail; but during that time he will be forced to see Bambi. Yes, we are talking about the animated movie:
"Berry must see the Walt Disney film 'Bambi', the first viewing on or before December 23, 2018; and repeat it at least once every month thereafter, during the incarceration of the defendant in the Lawrence County jail."
This seems like something out of The Mechanical Orange. Apparently the judge's intention is that based on watching the tape again and again change their tendencies.
