Why Prostitution should be legal

I wanted to talk about prostitution and why we should consider legalizing it. Our right to our bodies is one of the most basic human rights we can have. I think its funny and sad that we deny people who want to sell their bodies for sex the right to do so unless its done in front of the camera. I have a serious problem telling people what they can and cant do with their own bodies. Legalizing prostitution would drastically reduce the spreading of diseases by requiring the workers and the clients to be tested. It would drastically reduce the violence against sex workers allowing them to do it in an environment that isn’t dangerous, even allowing them to do it in their own homes and it would require both parties to pay taxes on the exchange of services. It would also allow for privacy of both the sex worker and the clients, especially the sex workers who don’t want it known that they're working in the sex industry by not forcing them to be on camera for it to be legal. In some countries, there are laws that do not prohibit the selling of sex, only the purchasing of it and brothels. Prostitution has not been made outright illegal but it is almost impossible to participate in without breaking some restrictive law. This is absurd. If two consenting adults want to exchange money for sexual favors, it should be well within their rights to do so.
