New York Afternoon - The High Line
There's nothing like the energy of New York City and that amazing project called the High Line.
On a recent visit to the city, I took the opportunity to visit the new Whitney Museum of American Art and stroll the fabulous High Line, a 1.45 mile long, elevated linear park. During my delightful tour of the park, I stopped to observe the activity on 18th Street.
The last vestiges of sunlight were dancing on the distant buildings as growing shadows heralded the the conclusion of a wonderful Manhattan day.
Here's a late afternoon view at the 18th Street overlook. 'New York Afternoon - The High Line' 30x30, oil on canvas.
