Lunch+Yesterday's Fire

in life •  6 years ago

I went for lunch with @gamer00. He'd had lunch already but after I'd had mine that I bought from a supermarket he joined me for coffee at restaurant Meininki. The coffee was free! I'd read about there being a Bitcoin ATM in the restaurant, which was true. There is a LocalBitcoins ATM, which I didn't even recognize at first because it looked like one of those paper towel machines on wall in public toilets.

The LocalBitcoins ATM. Instructions above.

@gamer00 blogged about a fire in his part of town yesterday. I drove past it after I'd left.

This is it. The fire was in the apartment on the seventh floor.

The whole apartment was completely destroyed.

There was a lot of debris burned to crisp that had come out of the window. It was being collected and a lot of it had already been taken away.

This is so true and this machine looks quite alike to paper towel machines on wall in public toilets :D :D
But on the other hand it is really great to see that digital currency is taking over the place of physical money with every passing moment!

Physical money is great. You don't depend on power or Internet connections.

ohh that bitcoin atm looks cool nd i hope that fire wouldmt have killed someone ?.

It did. One man who was the occupant of the apartment that was destroyed did.

It does not seem to have been very serious, I imagine that the firemen acted quickly (as it should).

So I heard. @gamer00 told me more about it at the go club tonight. The occupant of that apartment who died had totally lost it, had tried to prevent the firemen from doing their work, thrown burning stuff out of the window and jumped down. He fell on his own car. That apartment was completely destroyed. Smoke and flames were coming out of the windows when the man jumped. It sounds like psychosis or drug-related. The fire brigade acted really quickly but there may have been water damage to the other apartments.

Wow!...
I saw his publication but I did not enter. I see that it was not just a fire.

Too much excitement in a day!

Was there really a casualty? Sad to see such events occur

Yes. A man died because he had no other way out of his apartment engulfed in flames but to jump off the balcony. RIP
