An unforgettable holiday in the Seychelles

In the Northwest of the warm Indian ocean, near the island of Madagascar is such an amazing place like Seychelles. The archipelago includes 115 different Islands, 20 of which are inhabited by a few locals. More than half of Seychelles is coral and is located in the southwest. The other Islands are granite, scattered on the southern part of the archipelago. Presumably, granite Islands were formed more than 650 million years ago, which gives them the right to be considered the oldest Islands of the archipelago.

If you want to spend an autumn or winter holiday away from slushy, snow and blizzards, Seychelles is the best option! According to meteorologists, the temperature in Seychelles rarely drops below + 20 degrees, and the period from December to may is the hottest.

The extraordinary beauty of the local nature will impress any tourist. Scattered palms of Seychelles will give travelers a lot of pleasant memories, because only here you will be able to find so many different fruits. Fancy ripe coconuts, various varieties of bananas, including red and Royal little bananas, carom, Caracol, Amalek... What you will not find in these picturesque places.
Local cuisine is a very interesting synthesis of French traditions, Indian spices and native island recipes. The main components of Creole cuisine are essential seafood, rice, Indian spices and coconuts. The most popular dish here is fish with meat, or locally "pasonic diri". Followers of all kinds of exotic dishes can treat themselves to Tek-Tek soup based on seashells, island stew, which is made from bat meat, as well as a variety of dishes from local fruits (stewed bananas, bread fruit, as well as coconut pudding).

A favorite drink of local residents, are the fermented juice of the coconut, called "Kala" sugar cane juice "tank" beer drink "Seybrew", and also tasty and moderately strong infusion, with an exotic name "child of sitanel", which is based on lemon balm. In addition, a large number of light French wines, as well as first-class wine from South Africa, are imported to Seychelles.

Speaking of Seychelles, of course, I would like to mention a few large Islands, which are definitely worth visiting escaped from the cold European.

The largest island of the state — Mahe. Its area is 150 square meters. km. it is here that the capital of Victoria. Interestingly, Victoria is considered the smallest capital of the world. There are as many as two traffic lights, the only ones on the entire archipelago. And this is not surprising, because the capital is the only city of Seychelles, the rest of the settlements are considered villages or settlements. In this town you can meet a variety of souvenir shops, restaurants and shops. The entire coastal area of the island is beach. In total, there are about 70 sandy beaches on Mahe.

The main resort area is Bo Vallon, around which the best hotels of the archipelago are scattered in a unique creative mess. Every night in the hotel are a disco, and some large institutions can boast its own casino. Most often, local hotels have a cozy Bungalow nestled under the shade of coconut palms. Also, it should be noted beach Anse Intendance, which is the most beautiful in the entire archipelago. The picturesque sandy beach is bordered by exotic coconut palms, which creates a unique romantic atmosphere.

After visiting Mahe, you can enjoy exciting excursions such as a walk around the island Frigate, which is famous for its turbulent pirate past, as well as a tour of the national marine Park, named in honor of St. Anne. Here you can really plunge into the magical underwater world of the ocean — a variety of fish, beautiful corals and other ocean beauty will not leave anyone indifferent!

La Digue island, located 43 km from Mahe, is a small cozy resort, which is ideal for lovers of privacy and tranquility. 5 km long, and about 3 wide, La Digue, however, can offer several cosy hotels and marvelous restaurants. The main pride of the island — the unique virgin nature, as well as the beautiful beaches, where the amazing coral sand gives them a unique pink hue. There is on the island and its famous landmark Villa, which was once filmed "Emmanuel". Also, here you can find a factory for the manufacture of coconut oil and copra, working on technology XVIII century.

The second largest island, Praslin, occupies 26 square kilometers, and is a picturesque place with a well-developed service sector. Surrounded on all sides by coral reefs, Praslin is a great place to swim in the warm ocean waters. The island has a large number of various hotels, restaurants and shops. Here you can even rent a car, and ride on local roads, immersed in the greenery of palm trees and hibiscus. In addition, the island is famous for its clean sandy beaches, some of which are even on the list of the best in the world. On Praslin you can enjoy various excursions and fascinating sea walks. You can also visit the famous nature reserve "may Valley", rich in unique species of flora and fauna.

If you are a big fan of outdoor activities, then the rest in Seychelles is sure to be remembered for a lifetime! After all, here are some of the best places to surf in the world — the shores of the Islands of Praslin and Mahe, famous for its large waves. The most popular beach among surfers is Grand Anse, located in the northwestern part of Mahe island. It is famous for its two-meter waves.

Fans of quiet gatherings with a fishing rod on the shore, will also be able to find themselves in the friendly Seychelles! The islanders will never deny you, and at the same time to themselves, the pleasure of exquisite ocean fishing. The most coveted fish of all tourists is the famous sailing fish, which is found near the various Islands of the archipelago. In any case, to remain without catch here is almost impossible! The coast of Seychelles is teeming with a variety of inhabitants of the Indian ocean. To verify this fact you can also scuba diving. Unusual inhabitants of reefs, stingrays, turtles, and toothy sharks will not let you get bored for a moment! And for those who like a more secure type of recreation, there are even special boats with a transparent bottom, where you can enjoy the beauty of the underwater world.

By the way, to travel from one island to another, there are several modes of transport. The most fascinating is, of course, the sea. High-speed ferries, as well as private yachts for a small amount will take you to the desired island, while providing an opportunity to appreciate the beauty of a boat trip on the warm Indian ocean. You can also use the services of small aircraft and helicopters, regularly plying between the Islands of the archipelago.

In conclusion, I would like to say that tours to Seychelles provide a lot of European tour operators, so worry about the arrangement and flights you do not have. And to spend autumn or winter holidays in a hot exotic country among palm trees and orchids — is not it happiness?
