Quick Thought: Meaning Of Life?

in life •  7 years ago

This is an incomplete thought, but just occurred to me and would appreciate the feedback.

So Dostoevsky wrote (paraphrasing here) that if a great Utopia was actually created mankind would destroy it. The basic premise here is that we need both chaos and order. So in a perfectly orderly system we would go mad and destroy the system just to get a bit of chaos.

Now all the way back to essentially the beginning of history man has worshiped God and Gods. Many of the depictions of the Gods is a place of Utopia where they exist.

OK this is out there, but what if the solution to stop the destruction of a Utopia is to create a similar world where your people can get a little chaos? What I'm getting at, is what if we have already created the Utopia somewhere else and all of us are the instrument of chaos that allows that Orderly Utopia to remain stable.

I know this is out there, let me know what you think though

This is how it already is for most of the 1%. Control government with lobbyists and money, underpay employees, cheat the tax code, use people, etc while the masses engage in frivolous chaotic discord.

never thought of it that way, only problem with that argument is that the top 1% changes constantly, so the conspiracy of conclusion based on income is a bit hard to argue in favor of. The top .001% doesn't change as much, but we still see significant chances at least in the US, everywhere else it's essentially impossible to ever become rich. So the conspiracy would make sense in other countries, more what I see in the US is those with long term political power are involved in a type of conspiracy and attempt to indoctrinate the wealthy into their reality.
Very interesting thought, I need to think about that for a bit.
