The 5G will allow to operate electric trucks remotely

For many people, autonomous vehicles are still very distant and, in a sense, they may be right because it is not easy for a machine to deal with unforeseen events.

However good the radars, standards, sensors and others, as long as there are still human drivers on the road, it will still be very difficult for a machine to drive safely.

But now the 5G telephony begins to appear on the scene that will allow to identify each and every one of the objects of an arbitrary size scenario and to know at every moment its speed and direction.

But if this were not enough, the 5G also promotes remote control of vehicles and therefore companies such as the Swedish Einride , prepare a fleet of autonomous trucks directed remotely.

Although the truck does not have a driver, Einride puts behind each of them an experienced driver who will remotely monitor the truck and can resolve any compromised situation that may occur.

The truck is a fully electric capsule, without a cab, designed to be controlled remotely by a driver who would do so if he were sitting in his cabin but hundreds of kilometers away.

It seems that the drivers' job dewsk is similar to that used in racing video games, a comfortable seat with multiple monitors connected in real time to the cameras of the truck, a steering wheel, accelerator and brake, which send orders to the truck through 5G.

This is at least good news for transport professionals who, although they need training, may have the opportunity to extend their profession a little longer and for this reason, the company is training and hiring professionals.

Hopefully the drivers don't go crazy and start racing and chasing each other through the cities.
