Do you get up every morning and go to bed every night and show your gratitude to the high power you believe in?
Every morning I am happy to know my beautiful daughter was born on February 15, 2018 and I get to be her dad.
What are you thankful for each and every day?
Do you show your gratitude for it through your actions and/or words? Many people keep a gratitude journey and read it when they feel they lack a reason, vision or the means to carry on. This book becomes the strength they need to keep going.
Could you pick up the phone, send an email, post something on social media or meet up with someone to say thank you? What about brighten up someone else day because you have the awareness to know, you are not the only one who feel the way you do about life.
I believe you and I both could do just a little more of that each day. It is not hard to pick up the phone and thank someone for something they have done. It is personal and builds relationships that can last forever.
An email although not as personal as a phone call, can become personal when you write a few kind words for someone to read. It can make someone’s day and allow them to know you were thinking about them. It give them a moment to reflect.
Although social media is not personal as a phone call, it is a great way to let the person, and others, know that you appreciate them. You are making it public and people like public recognition. Play to their EGO.
You can take someone out for a coffee and spend 30-60 minutes together catching up. This is a great way to show your gratitude, build a stronger relationship and it only costs a few dollars and some time.
How will you show your gratitude for others after they have shown you a sign of respect? What will you do different today?
