Millions of human lives have been extinguished in the name of government (political conflicts, war, genocide etc.) since time immemorial, but hundreds of BILLIONS of animals have been slaughtered just in the last year alone and, let's be honest, no one really gives a fuck. Most of them were tortured, too.
(Imagine being castrated, without any anaesthetic, or being skinned alive just because another person wants to wear your skin as a fashion accessory)
When you stop to think about that, and actually process the fact that millions of animals are being tortured, slaughtered and butchered right now, as we speak, you begin to realize just how fucking mad this world is, and why that it is.
You suddenly become aware of the inextricable link between mass animal slaughter and mass (human) murder. Maybe if we stop mindlessly killing animals we will stop killing each other - Isn't it obvious?
