The amount of sleep we get is never enough and we always try to steal some more minutes.
Most people I came across snooze their alarms at least few times before they finally decide to start the day.

Snoozing Problem
I met few doctors and came to know form them that our body needs some time to get us ready to wake up. When we snooze and go back to sleep, our body thinks “False Alarm” and next time
When we try to get up, our body gets confused not being confident about the integrity of the alarm. When we finally out of bed, the sleep inertia continues for few hours making us a bit less efficient.

Brain Programming
I always wish I can get up bit early and spend some more time for myself doing exercise, yoga or meditation. But my snoozing habit never allowed me to be successful in achieving that. My brain was so much programmed to snooze 4-5 times every single morning for last few years. Even though I tried very hard, I failed to wake up on very first alarm.
Finally, I tried to conduct an experiment. Being a software engineer, I thought this more like a programming problem. My brain programming had introduced a bug and I must fix the software/code by reprogramming that part of my brain. Now, I am very much convinced that I need to reprogram my brain. Question is how? I read somewhere the brain is wired to repeat.
That might be the reason it was so hard for me to get rid of snoozing problem.

The technique I used to reprogram my brain is about introducing artificial repetition.
I started sleeping in the evening every day and set an alarm for 5 minutes ( or even 2-3 minutes sometimes). I pretend to sleep and after the alarm goes off, immediately I get up form the bed and go to bathroom/drink water. I repeat the rituals few times in the evening for about 20 days.
Doing that I was able to reprogram my brain to react/reflex to a given situation. I had pretty much conquered the snoozing problem after few weeks.
