Haha, oh I remember that one!
I don't get it either. It would surely be more lucrative to vote and comment. It's just plain daft!

It is. And now that I've been looking through my votes I'm finding other things. Such as one particular commenter who frequents quite a bit for the past couple of months and occasionally will bid me check out one of his posts. Which is fine, in fact many times I've simply gone to his page simply because he commented, except I just learned that he's been voting my posts up at five percent. Of his 1100 sp. lol. So there I was giving him nice healthy sized votes of 25% even as much as 50 now and again, and I feel my kindness has been quite taken advantage of. So now the test will be, wil he continue showing up to my posts if I only upvote his post at 1%?
Don't get me wrong, I certainly do not generally vote on posts because I expect a return of favor, I vote on them because I like them. But in cases of newbies who are struggling and who even ask for help, come on man, sheesh.

It's a can of worms isn't it?
I genuinely feel duped by some of it. I never used to bother checking voting strength or even who voted who until I noticed sometimes I had more comments than votes in the first five minutes of a post. So then I started looking.
To think I used to blindly upvote all commenters on my posts and that is how they get the money. Everyone trusts that a commenter has voted as you would never think likewise.
On the subject of that dude you are talking about I saw a similar one on mine, voting me up 3% whilst I voted 15-20 on his. Sigh
Sometimes I wish I hadn't started checking and others I am mighty glad I did!
