When people think of bonfires, most would think that the people are out camping. Whenever me and my family goes back to the province, we tend to at least have a bonfire per visit while staying in the yard since the lot is huge and is a very convenient location.
We just tend to go do bonfires since our uncle likes trimming the trees that grow in the lot to make them grow even bigger, and we use those branches as firewood. Our cousins also always hide packs of marshmallows for this occasion.
It's a simple activity, but it's like our bonding with our cousins since we rarely see them, and yet we're close to each other. It's like our tradition to always have a bonfire whenever we go to the province and we roast marshmallows and hotdogs while our parents drink beer or eat the hotdogs we kids roast. Heck, sometimes our older cousins just throw paper in there once they're done with the papers since they don't want to see them anymore.
