MY PROPOSAL: Invite charity organizations to steemit to increase their donations [STEEM FOREST PROJECT]

I came across this wonderful post about the Steemit Park that OUR community helped to create and I was impressed as how easy it was for our community to create something beautiful by simple liking a post! What i immediately thought of was this(actual comment):

That comment I made was a few hours ago and as you can see I could not stop thinking about it. What if we could fund a "Steem Forest" by supporting reforestation projects in Africa? So what did I do to get things started? I wrote an invitation! I looked for reforestation projects in Afrika and found the Edenprojects. But why did i choose deforestation? Deforestation is at the roots of many many problems locally and globally. The first thing people think about deforestation in Afrika or South America is that our capacity to store CO2 and our production rate of O2 are getting lower and therefore it's a negative influence on climate change. That's true BUT the impact deforestation has locally is far to often ignored or is simply not getting enough attention! So what's the local impact I am talking about? Deforestation causes far more damage than just a negative influence on the global climate. Here is some info from the Edenprojects website and why they caught my attention:

If you ask yourself why africans are suffering so much thirst and hunger, this is one big reason why! No trees = no clean water and food! Here is a link to a short paper on deforestation: Deforestation in Ethiopia

So, the reason I have chosen Edenprojects is that they are actually solving a problem. There are many charities out there that get millions in donation to just feed starving people in Africa, but that isn't solving any problems, in my opinion. If you manage to feed all starving Africans for a year without solving any problem you will need to feed them the next year too! So why is Edenprojects different? Edenprojects employs local population to grow trees and plant them where ever they are needed! That causes a positive environmental impact that allows the local flora and fauna to recover. That means clean water and the restoration of animal and plant habitats. The micro climate changes, rainfalls are increased and erosion is decreased while soil quality improves. The changes have major benefits for the local population! Farmers have an increased crop yield and the amount produced is enough to feed themselves and sell the rest to local and international markets. The local population gains independence from outside support and is able to help other communities in their neighborhood. 

As you can see the positive impact of reforestation is huge! So here is the invitation I wrote to Edenprojects:

my name is Mersad and I am a biology student from Germany. I have a  great interest for reforestation projects all over the world considering  the influence of deforestation to local environment, agriculture,  economy, micro climate and global climate. At the moment I am nothing  but a simple student and not much of a help, but I recently came across  the social media platform called steemit. The revolutionary idea of  steemit is to reward content creators and contributors with money and  voting power in the community. This is possible because steemit is based  on blockchain technology and uses its own cryptocurrency. The so called  "Steem Dollars" are 1:1 trade able for US Dollars. A post on steem  receives steem dollar automatically by receiving likes from the  community. As a way to support you, I hereby invite you to join our  great community and add to your donation income! Please consider my  proposal.
