Chinese New Year 2018- What I miss the most? 新年快樂! 🤔💓🍊

This is the first year that I am spending CNY away from home. I'll have to say it's not easy to be in Brisbane by myself. Chinese New Year has always been "Chrismas" to me. It's the biggest celebration of the year with many traditions and gatherings.

However, I am working today...So I'll tell you some of the things I miss instead.

Firstly, of course my family. Not just for the fact that I'll get red pocket money but to be able to spend time with them is precious. Also, seeing the relatives and catching up with everyone seems so much harder when life gets busy.

Secondly, the feast and homemade food. My grandma would cook all day for the new year. We will have soup, steam fish, poultry, veggie from her garden....(the list is endless)

Thirdly, probably the atmosphere and how cheerful everybody seems. As you can see in the picture with all the red decorations and joyful songs.

Lastly, I hope everyone is having a good start to the year. 新年快樂!🍊😊
