"Many of the troops are really good guys"... What does this even mean? How are they "good" guys? What makes them "good" guys?
These "good guys" gear up with guns and bombs and travel around the world blowing up people. And they do it for money.
They are not the victims. They are the perpetrators.
They made a choice to become murderers, for whatever reason. And they made this choice on their own. Nobody held a gun to their head, nobody made them do it.
"Normal people deceived into signing up to do evil things"... I don't know many normal people who would kill for a living. Normal people have jobs, families and would never even consider threatening another human being with a gun.
