"The Angry River" is the first short film to use eye tracking and artificial intelligence to track the viewer's eye and screen, to create a desired end, depending on five possible lines of events.
Although the idea seemed crazy at the time, it was rooted in Perian's thinking, and with the advance of artificial intelligence techniques, the impossible idea became a reality!
To make this dream a reality, filmmaker Bryan collaborated with Crossbeat New York, a technology company that developed eye tracking technology and automated learning that controls story events. The film "The Angry River" was filmed in Oregon, then edited from five different feature perspectives, assembled in a specialized way similar to regular films, but designed to suit the viewer's interest."The Angry River" sounds like any ordinary film, but instead of the directors and editors who decide the end of the story, the viewer is the one who does it himself. The eye tracking technique allows the background of the story to gather data about what the follower is interested in and to see more about it. A certain algorithm is then fed to the film to decide how the events change afterwards, based on the viewer's desire."The Angry River" revolves around a family of human traffickers in Portland, Oregon. The premiere of the film is due to begin online on May 18. The technology behind the story has attracted the attention of major film studios and technology companies, so we are expected to see more of these in the future!
