The future of the mind was written in 2014 by the american scientist Michio Kaku, when you first read this book you think that it's talking about science-fiction or maybe it can be a fantastic movie .. but everything in this book is real and it's really happening in worldwide laboratories, several things went out to the world to modify and develop.

Michio describes the brain that has approximately one hundred billion neurons able to feel, with a short and long term memory .. such a great abilities to think, simulate and predict the future. Michio compares the brain to a big organisation where all data is stored in the subconscious, the leader of this organisation doesn't know anything about what's happening in it, and the feelings are decisions happening fast and they are independent, they want the leader to pay attention : '' Rationality and emotional resilience work the same way, these are neural connections that can be strengthened ''. But the final decision is taken by the leader in the leading center right in the prefrontal cortex.
The find the solution, everyone needs to look at himself in the mirror and ask : What is happening behind these eyes ? .. This question pushes you to ask other questions such as if we really have a soul ? or what will happen in the afterlife ? who am I ? where are we in this great universal scheme ?
Thomas Henry Huxley said : the human's most important question and the greatest problem is to precise the position of the human being in the nature and his relation with the universe. Michio was fascinated by the human's brain and the modern machines to detect the brain activity and watch it, and now with the magnetic resonance (MRI) the scientists are able now to read what the brain is thinking, also transplanting an electronic chip inside the head of a paralyzed person to make him or her able to read the newspaper in the internet, write emails and also control the wheelchair, a mechanic hand to do the homework completely like a natural person but using the computer. The scientists vision was bigger than this, by linking the brain directly with an external structure and take control of it, and this can help a paralyzed person to live like a normal person.
The book also talks about the ability to download our experiences and memories on external drives and devices (Just like the matrix :P), it's just a matter of time. Imagine that you can you live another new life and meet new people, take new adventures with an external memory (Try to compress people because you don't have a lot of space x) ), imagine one day you become old with your external memory and you have to clean it to continue living (I'm just kidding !). Nowadays, scientists succeeded in downloading mice memory and upload it again on brain mice, it means that in the next few years the same experiments will be available on human brains, actually it has a great positive effect on people who had accidents and emotional chocs, so one day you will be able to explore your memory as you explore an external hard drive and delete what you want from it ( maybe the person who broke you heart :/ ) and then upload it again to your head. This kind of evolution and development has a great effect on mental issues ( Persons who have Alzheimer ).
