Women's Day, or March 8, is the day of the year when all the members of the tender gender generally receive a little more attention and affection.
For those who have not heard of this day: the woman's day is originally the day of working women and is the international holiday of women celebrated every year on March 8th in about hundred countries around the world.
It is a day of celebrating the economic, political and social equality and achievements of women, and it is celebrated primarily in the former communist and socialist countries.
Usually, women get attention from a male population - but not necessarily always. Sometimes also girls exchange some small gifts with each other. And that's exactly what we did with my friend. Of course, we didn't plan to get something back.
When I came to work, a beautiful rose awaited me on the shelf next to my computer. I needed just a second to realize who is it from. But the same person I surprised with a wonderful purple violet, which she wanted for a long time.
It wasn't much, but it meant a lot to us. And the fact, that we didn't know for each other's plans made me realize we are more alike like I ever hoped for a friend I know only for a good year.
What about you - did you celebrated the holiday, surprised someone, or you didn't even hear of the day? With this question, I will leave you today, but I have to go and get some rest. Good night.

What a wonderful gesture from your side. I bet your friend was ecstatic to get such an unexpected gift.
But regarding your question, I must say, that even though I am a girl I surprised three women on mentioned day with a flower, and one with a salty treat, and an artificial petal (she isn't into sweets and real flowers). 😊
Oh, and good job with both photos. They are wonderful, and the lightning on the rose is amazing. Hope it will bloom on your shelf for a long time!
