Try to solve this mango riddle \: )

A man wanted to eat mangoes, so went to the mango tree.
The tree was secured by two gates and each gate had a guard.
the first guard told him that he should give half of the quantity he got in order to pass the first gate.
The second guard also asked for half of the quantity he got in order to pass the second gate.
The man agreed with both the guards, but he had one condition.
Both the guards should return one mango from the half they got.
The man finally reached the tree and took as many mangoes he wanted.
He met the first guard, he gave the half and took one from him.
He met the second guard, he gave the half and took one from him.
At last he had two mangoes left.
