From Wikipedia's definition :

Ikigai (生き甲斐, pronounced [ikiɡai]) is a Japanese concept that means "a reason for being."
The word translated to English roughly means "thing that you live for" or "the reason for which you wake up in the morning."

Ikigai is the intersection of 4 major things :

  • What you love
  • What you are good at
  • What you can be paid for
  • What the world needs

With a bit of thinking, meditating, research, and experimenting, we should be able to figure out what is "our Ikigai".

As Steve Jobs would say :

“The only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work, and the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking, and don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it.
