purple rockrose

while exploring campus today, i passed by this shrub of rockrose!

i think it’s a bit funny that its name is specifically “purple” rockrose, as to me, it looks bright pink rather than purple

though honestly, i’ve seen a lot of flowers be called purple or blue when they’re pink, so i suppose it kind of makes sense

i’m not sure why, but these flowers sort of remind me of a hibiscus flower, maybe i’ll compare them someday! that seems like a lot of fun!
