Balancing Act

My life is a fine balancing act of walking through the space of trying to address everything on my plate. There are many days where I feel like I've got this adulting business on lock, and other days when I fail miserably. Being the boss in a work setting doesn't always mean that I have my life together. In fact, many days it's just the opposite. Most of the time, something has to give in my world. I cant do everything to a high level of satisfaction for all people all the time. More times than not, my emotions get the best of me and the things that I end up valuing the most, take the brunt of my stress. However, not many people can understand what it is like to walk in my shoes everyday, and I am only human. There are days when I am the worst wife, mother and person I could ever be. There are days when I don't want to get out of bed. There are days when I've had enough of being miss-understood and dream of a simpler time when all I had to worry about was what concert I was heading too next, what shoes to wear with my cute outfit, or who I should go on a date with. Life has a fucked up way of messing up your thoughts, emotions and allows your perceptions of the world you live in to run astray. Trying to find your way back to your authentic self is like being a full time punching bag. I don't have the answers and I don't know what the right decisions are, but I do know that staying connected with myself and being happy comes first. Being a full-time working mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, boss, yogi, perfectionist is exhausting! Question to all you peeps out there: What are some things you do to balance it all?
