First-time mothers expect their big bellies to return to their pre-baby form after they give birth. Elise Grossman, mother of three, posted a raw image of her body, just two hours after giving birth to her 3rd child. She wanted to both show other mothers the reality of childbirth and to celebrate her body, which grew a baby. The third baby.
In the image, you can see the stretch marks and the baby bump, which is still present - a shocking fact for many women out there. The image soon became viral, as mothers all over the world relate to it.

Grossman was also criticised for posting the image, so she posted a new image, addressing the comments. She told:
"Just like many women do, I too used to look up to the media, celebrities who would show off their supermodel like post baby bodies just weeks after giving birth! I thought thats how it would be for me too. So when I went home from hospital four days after giving birth, still looking six months pregnant, I thought I must have done something wrong. ... How come it took me a year to fit back into my pre baby jeans? Well, because for many women, and for me, this post baby picture that was painted in my head just wasn't realistic!"
